Executive Chef Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Charlestowne Hotels. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards, ensuring a consistent and excellent dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Set up stations and collect necessary ingredients for service
- Weigh and measure ingredients for cooking
- Prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
- Cover, date, and store food items correctly
- Inform chef of likely shortages
- Serve food in accordance with establishment standards
- Ensure correct food temperature and quality
- Taste food items before serving
- Use food preparation tools correctly
- Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist staff with other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent vocational training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and personality
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail and speed
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with co-workers and the public
- Proper food safety training and certification
- Ability to lift 60 lbs and stand for long periods
