Job Summary

The Executive Director of Community Outreach will oversee the development and implementation of programs that promote public service and pro bono initiatives within the legal community. This role requires a strong background in management, leadership, and public interest law.

About Us

Lane & Associates is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals in Texas. Our mission is to promote justice and equality through education, advocacy, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase pro bono participation among local attorneys.
  • Build relationships with private bar associations, law firms, and corporate legal departments to secure funding and resources for our programs.
  • Manage and supervise a team of coordinators responsible for overseeing our Equal Justice Volunteer Program (EJVP).
  • Collaborate with our Director of Litigation to ensure that volunteer attorneys are equipped to provide high-quality legal services to our clients.
  • Analyze data and reports to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • License to practice law in Texas required.
  • Prior management or leadership experience in a law firm setting preferred.
  • Prior experience working with pro bono program administration preferred.
  • A demonstrated commitment to public interest law and serving the indigent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a sense of accountability.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an excellent salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
