Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas is a non-profit public interest law firm that provides high-quality free civil legal services to low-income persons in North and West Texas. We are committed to reducing poverty by providing equitable access to the civil justice system and supporting the initiatives of our Community Revitalization Project.
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and dedicated team of attorneys, advocates, and support staff who share our commitment to social justice and community development.
Salary: $66,500 - $100,000 per year based on experience.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide legal services, advocacy, and transactional work in community revitalization, affordable fair housing, environmental justice, and community development.
- Work closely with community partners and low-income community groups to further our mission and objectives.
- Design and conduct outreach and community legal education programs.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of legal, clerical, volunteer, or student workers.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
- Prior legal services, public interest, or volunteer experience serving low-income persons preferred.
- Experience coordinating/training community services/partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
