Salary: The estimated salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description: As an Area Management Director, you will play a pivotal role in building the capacity of our area by connecting the community to all aspects of programming. This includes managing athlete recruitment, coach training, event and competition planning, volunteer recruitment, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- BUILD THE CAPACITY OF THE AREA BY CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY TO ALL ASPECTS OF PROGRAMMING;
- INVOLVE THE COMMUNITY IN PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF ALL EVENTS, ADHERING TO BUDGET REQUIREMENTS;
- LEAD THE DEVELOPMENT OF FUNDRAISING EFFORTS IN THE AREA;
- INTEGRATE FUNDRAISING INTO AREA EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS;
- RECRUIT ATHLETES, COACHES, AND VOLUNTEERS;
- DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT SPORT CLINICS, TRAINING, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES FOR ATHLETES AND COACHES;
- MANAGE AREA PAGES FOR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA;
- DEVELOP SPORT CALENDARS WITH ASSISTANCE FROM REGIONAL STAFF;
- ASSIST WITH REGIONAL AND STATE COMPETITIONS AS NEEDED;
- RECRUIT AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN EVENTS;
- IDENTIFY AND TRAIN COACHES IN SPECIAL OLYMPICS PROGRAMMING;
- INTEGRATE UNIFIED CHAMPION SCHOOLS GOALS INTO AREA GOALS WHILE ASSISTING UCS STAFF IN SCHOOL RECRUITMENT, RETENTION, AND EVENT PRODUCTION;
- COMMUNICATE ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS TO REGIONAL TEAMS WHICH MUST INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, BEST PRACTICES, INNOVATION, RETENTION AND RECRUITMENT.
