Job Summary:

This position is designed for individuals completing their 4th year externship in audiology before licensure. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, providing diagnostic evaluations, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing and balance disorders, including physical and otoscopic examinations of the outer ear structures.
  • Fit, program, and dispense hearing aids, participate in cochlear implant assessments, and conduct electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Perform electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems, counsel individuals with auditory disorders, and provide reports and coordination with other diagnostic data.
  • Work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and maintain a commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, completion of three years in a doctoral-level audiology program or two years in an accelerated doctoral-level audiology program.
  • Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, scheduled from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The work location is on-site at Kaiser Permanente's Santa Clara Medical Offices.
