Job Summary:

As an Audiologist Short Hour, you will administer diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders, coordinate and interpret test results, and consult with physicians to make recommendations on hearing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems and conduct research related to hearing and attendant disorders.
  • Physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear, including ear cleaning, evaluation, and fitting of hearing aids.
  • Conduct cochlear implant assessments, programming, and rehabilitation, as well as electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data, such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience in diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
  • Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
  • Audiologist License (California) or Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Additional Requirements:
  • If dispensing hearing aids, a Dispensing Audiologist license is required.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
