Job Summary

This position is designed for individuals completing their 4th year externship in audiology before licensure. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, providing diagnostic evaluations, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing and balance disorders under the supervision of a licensed audiologist.
  • Provide prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.
  • Conduct research related to hearing and balance disorders.
  • Examine the outer structures of the ear and fit, program, and dispense hearing aids.
  • Participate in cochlear implant assessments and conduct electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Perform electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders and their families regarding the etiology and management of the disorder.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Completion of three years in a doctoral-level audiology program or two years in an accelerated doctoral-level audiology program required.
  • Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
