We are seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Specialist to join our team at Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc.

About the Role

The Child Welfare Specialist will be responsible for overseeing shift operations in a residential setting, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, and handling critical situations with consultation from the On-call Supervisor.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee shift operations, including facility maintenance, food services, and client supervision.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Handle critical situations with consultation from the On-call Supervisor.
  • Act as a role model for clients, demonstrating appropriate behavior.
  • Transport clients when required.
  • Work during extreme weather events if necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSW/AA degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of direct work experience with adolescents, preferably in a residential setting.
  • A Florida driver's license and clean DMV record.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 13 days of PTO, and 13 paid holidays.

Location

This role is based in New Port Richey, FL, with opportunities for regional travel.
