About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Animal Shelter Coordinator to join our team in Pasco County, FL. As a key member of our Animal Services Department, you will play a crucial role in increasing the proactive prevention of pet loss and developing strategic programming to enhance the return-to-home rate of pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, scheduling, training, and performing work related to pet reunification programs.
- Investigate and respond to inquiries and complaints surrounding lost pets.
- Formulate standard operating procedures and plans for maximum efficiency of pet reunification programs.
- Lead a team of assigned members, including recruitment, development, training, certification, prioritizing, and assigning work.
- Monitor budget expenditures for community partnerships and programs.
- Compile routine reports, attendance records, statistics, and maintain logs and incident reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or acceptable equivalency and two years' experience in an animal shelter, animal welfare industry, customer service, or related field required.
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
