About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, promoting independence, and improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with light homemaking and other environmental services.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient status, including body functions and emergency situations.
  • Follow care center procedures for infection prevention and control, hazardous waste handling, and safety measures.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises and activities as instructed by nurses or therapists.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification or registration as a nurse assistant.
  • CNA experience within the last two years, or completion of another training and competency program.
  • Current CPR certification.
