Job Title: Field Underwriting Territory Representative

About the Role:

Cincinnati Insurance Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Underwriting Territory Representative to join our Sales and Marketing team. As a Field Underwriting Territory Representative, you will play a critical role in evaluating, assessing, and pricing risks while leading profitable growth for our agency partners in your territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite commercial business, analyzing risks, pricing, negotiating, and making informed decisions.
  • Market and sell business across all business units available within the territory to build strong, diverse agency relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive enterprise-wide growth and profit within the territory.
  • Lead agencies, achieving deep relationships with and understanding of each assigned agency relationship to build a diverse and profitable portfolio.
  • Provide leadership, partnering with and leading other field disciplines within designated agency relationships to ensure their success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, emerging risks, and primary competitors, effectively communicating and making informed decisions based on this information.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Willingness to travel and visit agencies within the territory regularly.
  • Strategic business plan development skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven experience in underwriting, a minimum of 2 years of multiline commercial underwriting experience, more than 3 years preferred.
  • Relevant insurance industry certifications (e.g., Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), professional selling) are a plus.
