Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist at Bass Pro Shops is responsible for maintaining and promoting accuracy of retail store inventory by working and reviewing various inventory reports, conducting on-demand inventory audits, and communicating results with store management.

This role partners with the sales floor, receiving teams, and retail leadership to maintain inventory accuracy, promote replenishment, and sales while mitigating merchandise loss and shrink for the organization.

Maintains inventory integrity and accuracy by executing on-demand and prescriptive inventory cycle counts.

Conducts empty peg and display integrity scans within the departments and completes appropriate inventory adjustments to maintain in-stock levels and replenishment.

Investigates and reconciles all inventory variance reports, including negative on-hand reviews, aged in transit, purchase order discrepancies, and more.

Completes inventory review and adjustments based on returned reports as needed.

Provides a legendary customer experience by assisting customers in making buying decisions through product recommendations, promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

Ability to generate and analyze inventory reporting, write reports, and effectively present findings to management.

Ability to communicate with retail sales floor outfitters and leadership on price changes and inventory accuracy.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular computer work, walking, sitting, and standing.

Performs duties within the scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.

Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
