Job Summary

Bridgetown Natural Foods is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As a key contributor to our production planning and forecasting process, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory integrity and accuracy, resolving variances, and coordinating the staging of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning of batch pre-production raw material and packaging staging activities.
  • Conduct and oversee periodic cycle counts based on established material priorities.
  • Monitor inventory and production reporting to validate inventory usage. Perform end of batch production run inventory audits.
  • Provide customer-specific information as requested, including consigned inventory reporting.
  • Maintain indexed and organized documentation of all transactions to support audits.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and make adjustments to reconcile inventory.
  • Support accuracy within item master records, including material packaging type, pallet configuration, and tare weights.
  • Identify slow-moving and close-to-expiration materials and coordinate for their disposition.
  • Draft procedures and policies as appropriate based on gap analyses.
  • Assist in training other staff as requested on Company policies and programs.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/food production environment preferred.
  • Must have strong quantitative skills.
  • Must demonstrate Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Candidate must be willing to learn Company inventory management system.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, being flexible and adaptive to changing needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong time management skills required; ability to adhere to a schedule and sustain the required pace of work.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing assignments without losing focus on quality and food safety, priorities, and daily plans, as well as sticking to established workflows.
  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English.
Working Conditions/Physical Factors
  • Able to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains, and other allergens.
  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Position may require standing, repetitive movement, bending, and twisting, exposure to sustained noise levels; working in very hot temperatures; exposure to hazards such as machinery, slippery floors, and powered industrial vehicles. May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be available for all shifts, nights, weekends, some holidays necessary, and some overtime.
