Key Responsibilities- Configure and Operate Satellite Terminals: Set up and configure Satellite Terminals, including fixed and tactical systems, and ensure they are operating within specified parameters.
- Provide Technical Assistance and Training: Offer technical guidance and training to users on the operation and maintenance of Satellite Terminals.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Identify and resolve issues with Satellite Terminals, utilizing knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and Management: Work with colleagues and management to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance, and provide input on customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
- Assist with Reporting and Correspondence: Assist in the preparation of reports, correspondence, and technical studies related to Satellite Terminal operations.
- Consult with Engineering Personnel: Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance, and may instruct workers in electronic theory.
- Lead Testing and Tuning: Lead testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
- Perform General Housekeeping Duties: Perform general housekeeping duties in support of a safe working environment.
- Active Top Secret US Government Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret US Government clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in one or more engineering or science disciplines, or equivalent combination of academic and/or technical training and related work experience.
- Experience in SATCOM Maintenance: Must possess a minimum of six to ten (6-10) years' experience in SATCOM Maintenance, including three (3) years in a DoD operational program.
- Advanced Knowledge of Electronics: Must possess advanced knowledge of electronics, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and volt meters.
- DoD 8570.01-M IA Certification: Must possess and maintain a DoD 8570.01-M IA Certification matched to assigned duties.
- Valid State-Issued Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
