- Lead the kitchen staff in food preparation, ensuring adherence to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor daily production and waste logs to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Conduct taste tests of meals to guarantee quality and consistency.
- Train kitchen personnel in food preparation techniques, safe handling practices, and equipment operation.
- Establish and uphold cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Manage inventory of food and supplies, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Make informed decisions regarding the use of leftover food products in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations through regular audits.
- Engage with patients to enhance their dining experience during their stay.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in culinary management.
- Experience in high-volume food service operations.
- Hands-on experience in a culinary environment is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
