Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a prominent global law firm with a presence in key commercial, legal, and governmental centers worldwide, is looking for a Privacy Compliance Specialist. This role is vital within the Privacy Office, overseeing both the technical and administrative dimensions of the firm's adherence to privacy regulations while supporting international privacy initiatives.

This role is based in our Philadelphia office and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate and support privacy-related projects in collaboration with IT personnel, administrative staff, senior attorneys, and Partners across various regions. Aid in monitoring the completion of training programs for legal personnel and attorneys regarding general data privacy and specific national regulations. Stay informed about developments in privacy regulations to ensure compliance. Manage the content of privacy agreements, incident reports, and Data Subject Rights Requests (DSRR) databases. Supervise firmwide data mapping efforts and the creation of records of processing activities. Responsible for managing access to privacy-related resources as necessary. Coordinate the establishment of databases for diverse compliance initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. At least 1 year of experience in privacy compliance and data protection is preferred but not mandatory. Strong technical proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Capability to read and interpret standard business documents, follow instructions, and write routine business correspondence, along with effective communication with employees, clients, and vendors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. A privacy certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is advantageous.
