General Manager Job Description

At Wingstop, we're on a mission to serve the best wings in town. As a General Manager, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the District Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile on their face.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, and schedule team members in partnership with the District Manager.
  • Work with the District Manager and Human Resources to manage performance, including coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members.
  • Communicate job expectations to staff, plan, monitor, and review performance, and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve issues with food preparation, and help the team handle customer service issues with grace and courtesy.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Competent in labor management, store operations, and customer care.
  • Superior leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must thoroughly understand the importance of good hygiene and food handling practices.
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends and nights.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
