Recipe Testing Culinary Specialist

Job Summary
The Recipe Testing Culinary Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of FLIK's recipes database through accurate testing of recipes, ingredient information procurement, and high-level culinary skill.
This role requires a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on recipe development and testing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a recipe testing schedule that meets the demand of FLIK business, while not hindering on-site kitchen production.
- Contact vendors to obtain ingredient information for entry in Webtrition.
- Work with FLIK's Registered Dietitians and Webtrition Facilitator to prioritize recipe testing.
- Train unit chefs to assist with accurate recipe testing.
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary food production, preparation, and presentation.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Culinary Nutrition or related field.
- Minimum of two to three years of culinary/kitchen experience, depending upon formal degree or training.
- Hands-on chef experience is a must.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet.
- ServSafe certified is highly desirable.
