Medical Laboratory Specialist - MT / MLT Generalist ASCP or AMT - Full Time at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. is in search of both new graduates and seasoned Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) or Medical Technologists (MT) to become part of our collaborative team. We are a small healthcare facility that prides itself on a positive work environment and a balanced workload.
Work Schedule: This full-time role is designed for the hours of 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Position Overview:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist (MLT/MT), your key responsibilities will include conducting specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting in accordance with laboratory protocols. You will also be involved in quality control, maintenance, and calibration of all analytical testing.
  • Conduct specimen collection from patients of all ages, ensuring proper identification and sample collection procedures are followed.
  • Confirm all laboratory orders and manage order entry in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Execute routine and specialized laboratory tests, adhering to established policies and procedures, and communicate critical results to healthcare professionals.
  • Follow quality control protocols, identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact test outcomes.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary.
Qualifications Required:
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related discipline.
  • Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent body is mandatory.
  • Open to both new graduates and experienced candidates.
