Job Description:

Certified welding Inspector (CWI) as per AWS D1.1 Inspection Personal qualification, with fab. exp of 5 years at least. This person is expected to take care of: (Any degree with this experience will work)


Day-to-day QA management functions and welding inspections.

Work with the design team & welders to take care of fracture critical member fabrication.

Creation of WPS/PQR and all other documentation to qualify the welders as per AWS.

Process controls to get desired outcomes (Should be able to interpret the drawings, design, standards, and specs and then translate them into process control checks to meet the project-specific requirements)

Detail manufacturing drawing with the design team and flow down the instructions to shop and purchase the department. & vendors to ensure the desired result is achieved.

Provide correct & sufficient data to the purchase dept, which maximizes the chances of proper material procurement.

Should have good knowledge of GD&T and different weld practices standards in industry use.

Should have significant knowledge of materials, machining, coatings, and other contemporary industrial practices.

Maintaining the qualification documentation for different processes being done in the shop.

Writing the procedures and work instructions to meet the requirements of a few rare but very critical projects.
