Ultrasound Technologist PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist PRN to join our team at Northwest Medical Center Houghton. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients by performing diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, thoracic, head and neck, obstetric, and extremity exams.
  • Assist in invasive procedures with a practitioner under the direction of a Radiologist.
  • Meet department standards and follow directions when given.
  • Work effectively under stress and maintain emotional maturity.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of ultrasonography or radiologic technology.
  • At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • ARDMS Registry/Certificate in Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARRT Registry/Certificate in Radiography and Ultrasound.
