Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Radiology Ltd. in Tucson, AZ.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology, ensuring high-quality images and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly identify and interview patients, preparing them for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Operate imaging equipment, determining exposure factors and adjusting controls to produce high-quality images.
  • Process images, review for quality control, and send to PACS for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment maintenance, malfunctions, and minor repairs.
  • Complete forms, maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
Requirements
  • Current ARDMS certification in Abdominal and Vascular.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift at least 50 lbs.
