Job Summary:

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Full Time Days position. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading the nursing team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Assume primary leadership accountability and responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities of other nursing staff.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, formulating individualized plans of care and treatment modalities.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed safely, provide education on prescribed medications, and recognize signs and symptoms of adverse drug reactions.
  • Documentation and Communication: Review, revise, and update medical records within facility guidelines and timeframes, transcribe and implement physician's orders, and document care, progress, and response to intervention in medical records.
  • Team Collaboration: Follow up on client care responsibilities, communicate incomplete assignments and current client needs to staff, and implement staff assignments and delegation of duties using appropriate judgment and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric or medical-surgical setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records.
