We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Registered Nurse - PRN Tier 1, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in an extended acute inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate direct care to patients based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital.
- Safely and independently administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on assessment and plan of care.
- Appropriately organize and prioritize time based on patient condition and expected workload.
- Identify and communicate individualized patient needs for inter-shift report and transfer/discharge.
- Appropriately and correctly document the patient response to interventions and progress toward outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement efforts and comply with changes in clinical standards and policies.
- Seek learning opportunities and resources beyond own work environment and incorporate into practice the new knowledge and skills acquired.
- Promote an environment conducive to professional practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient and staff safety.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel in order to meet patient needs and to maximize team performance.
- Promote collaboration and cooperation among physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse upon hire required.
- Basic Life Support upon hire required.
