Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide / CNA to join our team at LHC Group. Our organization values a culture of compassion, trust, and connection, fostering meaningful relationships with patients, families, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
As a Hospice Aide/CNA, you will:
  • Provide personal direct patient care services under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to the established Plan of Care.
  • Report patient conditions and environments to the Executive Director or designated personnel following each patient encounter.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including mobility, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
  • Perform essential household services that support the patient's health care at home.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement processes by identifying issues and reporting them as necessary.
  • Offer emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families on a regular basis.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Successful completion of a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Maturity and the ability to effectively manage the demands of a hospice aide position.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills to follow directions accurately.
