Job Summary:

As a Materials Engineer Generalist at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a key role in developing next-generation technologies for defense clients in the materials and science engineering field. Your expertise will be utilized to develop, integrate, and test solutions for emerging technologies and products for the next generation of warfighters. You will also be responsible for developing, characterizing, and supporting the scale-up of advanced materials for defense and aerospace applications. Additionally, you will advise on emerging technologies and market targets of opportunity for implementation. Your collaboration with internal and external management and customer representatives will ensure that soldier solutions are fully integrated to increase mission capability and value for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and integrate solutions for emerging technologies and products for defense clients
- Develop, characterize, and support the scale-up of advanced materials for defense and aerospace applications
- Advise on emerging technologies and market targets of opportunity for implementation
- Collaborate with internal and external management and customer representatives to ensure soldier solutions are fully integrated

Requirements:

- Experience with materials science engineering or materials chemistry
- Experience supporting programs in the DoD
- Knowledge of materials production, synthesis, characterization, and evaluation
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of experience in materials science engineering, or a Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with advanced materials, including metals, ceramics, composites, and polymers
- Experience coordinating with production and material processes for low-rate initial production and manufacture of materials solutions and product applications
- Top Secret clearance
