Job Title: Software Development Analyst

Job Summary:

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Analyst to provide on-site support in Lorton, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data analysis, and technical writing.

Responsibilities:

* Provide critical decision and analytic support to the Counter WMD Technologies department (CX) within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)
* Aid in assessment of weapon tests to ensure needed data is provided for phenomenology modeling and validation
* Oversee the software development of Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA)
* Perform market research for relevant advances, methods, and materials
* Recommend architectural and deployment configurations

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in an engineering or scientific function with a focus on advanced software methods
* Proficiency in agile software development processes
* Computer programming experience and familiarity with a variety of programming languages
* Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI

Desired Qualifications:

* Master's degree in data science, computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, engineering or physics software application development, or related technical curriculum
* 2 years of project programming and data visualization experience
* Experience with M&S tools and government or private analytical organizations
