Key Responsibilities:- Analyze legal documents, including pleadings, filings, decrees, and agreed orders, for compliance with Court procedures, processes, and requirements.
- Collaborate with the Staff Attorney to review all decrees, shared parenting plans, parenting orders, associated orders, agreed entries, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, Divisions of Property Orders, etc. for accuracy prior to submission to the judicial officers.
- Ensure that all required statutory language and references are included in the decrees presented for signature.
- Address issues at the time of filing to avoid complications or errors that could lead to further litigation.
- Provide information and explanations about court processes, court rules, official documents, and forms to litigants and attorneys.
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or other applicable field of study or Associate's degree in paralegal studies and one to three years of experience including administrative work, preferably in a law office, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Preferred Ohio Bar Paralegal Certification.
