Job Title: Activities Aide

The Sentinel of Port Jervis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and inclusive environment for our residents.

Job Summary:

The Activities Aide will assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This includes developing and leading individual and group activities, assessing resident needs, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote socialization, recreation, and cognitive stimulation for residents.
  • Assess resident needs and interests to create personalized activity plans.
  • Coordinate and lead group activities, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and entertainment events.
  • Collaborate with the Activity Director to plan and execute special events and programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activity participation and progress.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and supervision.
  • Participate in facility programs and events as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Prior experience in an assisted living care facility preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn facility applications.
