Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Operations Manager to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of healthcare services and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Coordinate Healthcare Services: Develop and implement plans to deliver high-quality healthcare services to clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Supervise Clinical Personnel: Directly supervise clinical personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide Clinical Teaching and Competency Validation: Provide clinical teaching and competency validation to caregivers and nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with company policies, state licensure and regulations, and state reimbursement regulations.
  • Facilitate Communication and Liaison: Facilitate communication and serve as a liaison between nursing, caregivers, family and/or guardians, community medical providers, and professional consultants.
  • Oversee Initial Start of Healthcare and Assessment: Directly oversee the initial start of healthcare, assessment, and first home visit with ongoing performance monitoring to identify/reduce risks and improve client outcomes.
  • Supervise Implementation, Coordination, and Evaluation of Care Plans: Directly supervise the implementation, coordination, maintenance, evaluation, and termination of care plans/services, medical records, and physician orders.
  • Market to Healthcare Providers: Market to healthcare providers in the service area as requested.
  • Provide Skilled Nursing Care and Treatment: Provide skilled nursing care/treatment to clients per physicians' orders and plan of care.
  • Accurately Document Nursing Actions: Accurately document nursing actions of all care given, individual's health status, and communicate with family and physicians.
  • Document Progress and Outcomes: Document the progress and outcomes for established goals and inform physician, case manager, and families of changes in client's medical condition and needs.
  • Administer and Manage Medication: Administer and manage medication as needed.
  • Provide Health Teaching and Safety Measures: Provide health teaching of client and assisting client in learning appropriate self-care techniques and safety measures.
  • Conduct Nursing Assessment Visits: Conduct nursing assessment visits as needed.
  • Report Incidents and Follow Policies: Report all incidents per operation procedure and regulatory standards. Follow policies and procedures according to operation, state, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Patient Rights: Maintain confidentiality of patient-related information and honor patient rights.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: May be asked to cover after hours, weekends, and holidays on call to meet the needs of clients. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Social Services, or Related Healthcare Field: Bachelor's degree in nursing, social services, or related healthcare field of study.
  • Healthcare Management Experience: Minimum of at least two years of clinical experience, and at least one year in related management/supervisory role in Home Care and/or Home Health.
  • Meet Pre-Employment Requirements: Meet all pre-employment requirements per company and/or state regulations.
  • Current and Unrestricted Registration and License: Current and unrestricted registration and license in the state of operation. CPR professional certification.
  • Maintain State Regulatory Certifications: Maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements. Functions within the Nursing Scope of Practice and Nurse Practice Act (NPA).
  • Professional Appearance and Demeanor: Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • General Knowledge of Computers: General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to details.
  • Ability to Work Independently or in a Team Environment: Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to Develop Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to develop critical thinking skills, research situations, solve complex problems, and deal with a variety of issues.
  • Ability to Learn and Complete Educational and Position-Specific Goals: Ability to learn and complete various educational and position-specific goals.
