Role Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating patient services within a collaborative healthcare team. Strong communication and customer service abilities are essential to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience for our patients. The Medical Assistant will engage with healthcare providers and team members to deliver a wide range of patient services, managing various tasks in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for upcoming clinic appointments by ensuring all necessary documentation is ready for provider review.
  • Sanitize and set up examination rooms prior to patient visits.
  • Assist in patient rooming according to established scheduling protocols; measure and record vital signs.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs and updates to medical history, prior to provider consultations.
  • Collect and process urine and blood samples from patients, adhering to established protocols.
  • Generate follow-up reports for clinic operations.
  • Assist providers with medication refill requests.
  • Facilitate prior authorizations for medications as needed.
  • Support inventory management and order supplies as required.
  • Handle patient inquiries and maintain sample logs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Mandatory)
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (Mandatory)
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting (Mandatory)
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (Mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel to various clinics as needed (Mandatory)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Physical Requirements
