Responsibilities:
Incident Response:
• Characterize and analyze alerts to understand potential threats and prioritize incident response efforts.
• Perform event correlation using information gathered from various sources to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack.
• Document and escalate incidents that may cause ongoing and immediate impact to the environment.
Reporting and Analysis:
• Provide daily summary reports of events and activity relevant to cyber operations.
• Perform cyber operations trend analysis and reporting to identify areas for improvement.
Triage and Analysis:
• Perform thorough and high-quality triage and analysis for all alerts to ensure accurate and timely incident response.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Actively engage in team chats, calls, and face-to-face settings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Process Improvement:
• Constantly contribute to SOC runbooks to ensure accurate and up-to-date incident response procedures.
• Recommend improvements to automations, alert fidelity, and security controls to enhance incident response efficiency and effectiveness.
