Payroll Accounting Manager

Burlington Stores is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accounting Manager to lead our Payroll Operations team. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing strategic, tactical, and operational leadership for the development and sustainment of systems, processes, and resources for enterprise Payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the team of accountants to ensure all reconciliation and analysis of related balance sheet accounts, inventory accounts, ledgers, and journals are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile and balance between third-party tax reports and payroll tax summary reports to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
- Oversee unemployment claims processing and related rate analysis, including the relationship with vendors and various agencies.
- Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
- Work on special projects and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting.
- Experience in managing or supervising a team is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
