Job Summary

INSPIRITUS INC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Language Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of our English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering effective ESL instruction to refugee and immigrant newcomers across the state of Alabama.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement a comprehensive ESL program that meets the needs of refugee and immigrant populations.
  • Instructional Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to ESL instructors, ensuring high-quality instruction and effective program delivery.
  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ESL program, including enrollment, attendance, and assessment.
  • Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with local community organizations and stakeholders to promote the ESL program and support program delivery.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support ESL instruction and program activities.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Develop and submit reports to funders and stakeholders, and conduct program evaluations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL or a related field, with a proven track record of program development and management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with refugee and immigrant populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience supervising diverse staff and/or volunteers, with a proven track record of program development and management.
  • Language: Fluency in a relevant foreign language, with the ability to communicate effectively with refugee and immigrant populations.
