Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician will oversee and manage the Quality Assurance Program to guarantee that our products meet established quality standards. This role involves the development and enhancement of quality systems and procedures within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify and promote the Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and Teamwork) while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for Quality Assurance logs.
  • Conduct and oversee scheduled audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide and facilitate training sessions.
  • Perform regular inspections to uphold quality standards.
  • Stay informed on all regulatory requirements and legal updates.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with FDA, ODA regulations, H.A.C.C.P., S.S.O.P., and COOL Act standards.
  • Engage with Regulatory Agencies and third-party auditors as necessary.
  • Conduct environmental testing on contact surfaces, water, and products.
  • Manage product tracking processes.
  • Address and follow up on customer complaints.
  • Execute internal and external audits to verify adherence to standards.
  • Contribute to the achievement of quality department goals and objectives.
  • Assist in various plant quality initiatives.
  • Identify, investigate, and report critical quality defects in production processes and products.
  • Analyze the source of quality variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with quality expectations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports.
  • Conduct problem analysis at the line level.
  • Promote a zero-defect philosophy for products.
  • Implement the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in quality assurance within the seafood industry.
  • Familiarity with GFSI, SSOP, and COOL Act standards.
