GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Leasing Agent plays a vital role in attracting potential residents to our community by showcasing available apartments and promoting the services we offer. This position is essential in delivering exceptional customer service to both prospective and current residents.
The Leasing Agent is tasked with preparing and clarifying lease documentation for new and renewing residents, ensuring that all vacant units are in prime condition for viewings.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, possess a sense of urgency, and be attentive to the needs of prospects and residents alike.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the community.
- Work diligently to maximize occupancy rates by leasing available units and nurturing relationships with current residents to facilitate lease renewals.
- Conduct property tours, showcasing all amenities and available apartments to prospective residents.
- Process applications from potential residents promptly, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and adheres to company standards.
- Prepare lease agreements and move-in packets accurately and efficiently, coordinating lease signings with new residents.
- Maintain detailed records of prospects, traffic, and rental data, ensuring all leasing information is organized and up-to-date.
- Keep resident files organized and accurate, assisting with office filing as needed.
- Stay informed about the community and competitor offerings through site visits and research.
- Ensure the office environment is professional, clean, and organized, meeting all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager and team members to devise and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Conduct regular property inspections and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
- Prepare vacant apartments for showings, ensuring they are clean, inviting, and ready for potential residents.
- Handle service requests from residents and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, aiming to convert inquiries into leases.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to support the overall success of the company.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Experience in residential leasing or sales is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Yardi Voyager system is a plus.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, and email.

ABILITIES:
- Frequent use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods, as well as bend and lift as necessary.
- Strong reading, comprehension, writing, and analytical skills.
- Occasional physical activities such as climbing stairs and bending.
- Ability to lift approximately 10 pounds.
