Key Responsibilities- Provide SMART customer service at all times, executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
- Proactively greet, assist, and engage with customers, identifying their needs and offering solutions.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using a cash register to complete sales, returns, and refunds.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure shopping environment, detecting common signs of shoplifting and theft, and communicating concerns to management and/or Asset Protection.
- Assist in line vesting to ensure quick turnaround times for checkout and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
- 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
