Position Overview:

We are in search of a proficient Senior Manager to spearhead our procurement initiatives across various categories within the Information Technology sector. This role is tailored for a forward-thinking professional dedicated to overseeing everything from Procurement Strategy to the execution of Sourcing projects on a global scale.

About the Team:

The Indirect Spend Management (ISM) team operates as a centralized procurement entity focused on sharing best practices internationally. We are recognized for our commitment to leveraging advanced procurement technologies to enhance sourcing excellence and generate value across Walmart and its affiliates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate category strategies that align with corporate goals, prioritizing operational excellence and innovation.
  • Analyze and propose solutions to streamline, automate, and enhance processes using current tools while exploring new options.
  • Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive category strategies across indirect spend categories.
  • Utilize analytics to devise innovative strategic sourcing approaches, assessing scenarios, benefits, risks, and change management impacts.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, leveraging market intelligence for informed prioritization of opportunities.
  • Design and implement complex supplier negotiation strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement in cost savings, quality, and risk management.
  • Address escalated inquiries related to strategic sourcing policies and decisions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or management consulting with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Experience collaborating within a global team to achieve superior business outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, including industry structure and economic drivers.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience in Hardware, Software, and Telecommunications.
  • Background in Retail or Consulting industries.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Professional Designations:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) certifications.
