Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Providence Service. As a Medical Assistant, you will work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical procedures and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist licensed practitioners with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications
• Perform clinical tasks, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication
Requirements
• 6 months of healthcare experience, preferably in a medical assisting role
• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
