As an Early Recovery Specialist, your role will involve empowering clients to take ownership of their recovery journey by engaging them in their own assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning processes. You will also be responsible for conducting daily follow-ups with newly admitted clients through in-person or telephonic interactions, as clinically appropriate. Additionally, you will monitor and document any circumstances affecting a client’s recovery to proactively identify and address potential relapse.

Compensation:

  • $22 - $25 per hour
  • $25 - $28 per hour (Certified)
  • $28 - $31 per hour (Licensed)

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree, license, or certification required to provide counseling services to our patient demographic.
  • Compliance with continuing education requirements as mandated by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and other regulatory bodies.
  • Possess relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
    • Patient evaluation, treatment planning, and counseling services
    • Understanding of the use, abuse, and treatment of illicit substances and addiction
    • Effective organization and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of newly admitted patients, providing individual and group counseling services as appropriate.
  • Maintain professional, therapeutic, and ethical boundaries with patients.
  • Conduct intake assessments, including discharge plans, Initial Needs Assessments, and Initial Treatment Plans in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Empower patients by involving them in their own assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning.
  • Perform daily follow-ups with newly admitted patients through face-to-face or telephonic interactions as clinically appropriate.
  • Monitor and document any patient circumstances that may impact recovery, addressing potential relapse proactively.
  • Coordinate care with external providers through effective case management.
  • Participate in weekly case conferences and meetings with clinic management to discuss patient progress.
  • Adhere to Clinical Risk Management policies, evaluating patients for any high-risk conditions.
  • Assess patient progress in early recovery and recommend advancement to maintenance counseling when suitable.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to support program compliance.
  • Encourage a collaborative team approach for problem-solving and addressing challenging clinical situations.
  • Develop recovery support materials to aid in patient engagement.
  • Review patient records for accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Offer individual counseling for patients who have missed scheduled appointments as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing training and feedback relevant to the Early Recovery Specialist role.
