Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our residents.
  • Utilize effective communication and time management skills to facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
  • Participate in mandatory trainings and apply skills to provide high-quality support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Meet and demonstrate OPWDD Core Competencies to ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Ensure health, wellness, and safety by managing crisis situations and providing appropriate supervision.
  • Transport and escort individuals on recreational activities, medical appointments, and home visits.
  • Build positive relationships and maintain a therapeutic environment through various methods.
  • Complete documentation to ensure compliance and billing.
  • Utilize foundational teaching skills to support individuals in achieving their goals.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Work or life experience within the intellectual and developmental disabilities field is a plus.
  • Ability to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid Driver's License may be required depending on the position.
  • Tuberculosis test is mandatory for most positions.
