Anesthesiology Specialist

At Daviess Community Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients, while also monitoring and supporting vital life functions. As a patient advocate, the CRNA will ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and comfort during their medical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer all types of anesthesia, including general, major regional, local, and minimal, moderate, and deep sedation.
- Perform and document pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of patients, including lab values, study results, consultative information, and pre-anesthesia clinical history.
- Ability to assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families regarding pain management.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities (CQI).
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse License.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
- Current certification or recertification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor's certification.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a CRNA.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment.
- Advanced pharmacology knowledge.
