Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute onboarding and staff development training programs
- Evaluate Level Training Sign-off and Assessment Tools
- Identify training gaps and address them through additional hands-on training, discussions, or reference materials
- Provide Technical Skills Training in
Primary Care Includes:
- Effective handling techniques
- Managing high fear aggressive canine and feline patients
- Venipuncture – Saphenous, Cephalic, and Jugular, addressing clotting concerns
- Catheter Placement
- Assisting with in-hospital patients
- Processing Laboratory Samples
- Monitoring Sedated Patients
- Radiographic Techniques and Positioning
- Routine Outpatient Diagnostics
- Cystocentesis utilizing ultrasound
- Training to gather comprehensive and relevant history
- Proficiency in Medical Math
- Training to effectively use EMR
- Understanding and training on medical records
- Basic diagnostic results interpretation training
- Develop training materials using a multi-modal approach including visual aids, written resources, quizzes, and practical assessments
- Create development paths for primary care support staff
- Organize and coordinate wet labs for fundamental technical procedures
- Collaborate with supervisors and leads to recommend training schedules, identify suitable student/teacher pairs, and assess other employees' comfort levels as trainers
- Identify challenges in the training workflow and collaborate with the team on necessary policy or procedural adjustments
- Oversee and validate sign-offs and assessments, delegating tasks as appropriate
- Utilize a Fear Free Approach – certification preferred or to be completed within 90 days
- Additional technical skills as required
