Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at Children's National Medical Center. As a Clinical Associate Physician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of pediatric health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services for patients in a timely and professional manner, adhering to ethical standards and hospital policies.
  • Oversee the medical care team and manage direct patient care for a specified patient population, ensuring continuity of care and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in on-call services as determined by division leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to patient care.
  • Actively engage in family-centered care, communicating effectively with patients and families, and referring them to specialists and ancillary services as needed.
  • Utilize the defined chain of command and escalation policies, responding promptly to team members and outside medical providers.
Commitment to Advocacy
  • Participate in Children's National Medical Center's advocacy initiatives, contributing to the advancement of public policy and promoting population-based pediatric health and well-being.
  • Contribute scholarly effort to the development of policies and programs that enhance pediatric health and well-being.
  • Teach patients and families about treatment, prevention, and care enhancement techniques, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Participate in specific health promotion, education, and prevention programs, addressing the unique needs of pediatric patients.

  • Supervise and train clinical professionals and students effectively, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
