Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a Cryptologic Computer Scientist (CoCS) to contribute to an Intelligence Community (IC) mission. The role is centered around the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions to complex cryptologic computer science challenges. These solutions may include forensic analysis, attack attribution, safeguarding critical networks, providing active system alerts, engaging in penetration testing of target systems, and uncovering insights from both passive and active systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Cryptologic Computer Scientist will:
  • Utilize advanced computer science skills, including operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete mathematics, programming language theory, and data structures.
  • Develop state-of-the-art techniques and tools to address cryptologic challenges.
  • Engage in systems research, simulation/model development, software design, programming, computational science, and reverse engineering.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and develop both hardware and software systems.

Essential Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • An Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in computer science and/or systems research, including simulation/model development, software design, and algorithm analysis.
  • Possession of an active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
