Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a Cryptologic Computer Scientist (CoCS) to contribute to a vital mission within the Intelligence Community (IC). This role is centered around the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions to complex cryptologic computer science challenges. The successful candidate will work within a scientific framework to address issues that may include forensic analysis, attack attribution, safeguarding critical networks, and active system monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

The CoCS will:
  • Develop and deliver advanced solutions for cryptologic challenges.
  • Utilize a range of computer science skills including operating systems, algorithm design, and database theory.
  • Engage in knowledge discovery and penetration testing of target systems.
  • Apply state-of-the-art techniques and tools to enhance mission support.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • An Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in computer science and systems research, including simulation/model development, software design, and algorithm analysis.
  • Possession of an active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.

Salary Range

The typical salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000, based on experience and other relevant factors.
