Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a Cryptologic Computer Scientist (CoCS) to contribute to a critical mission within the Intelligence Community (IC). This role involves the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions to complex cryptologic computer science challenges in a scientific context. The work may encompass areas such as forensic analysis, attack attribution, safeguarding essential networks, real-time system alerts, proactive penetration testing, and knowledge extraction from both passive and active systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate advanced solutions addressing cryptologic computer science issues.
  • Utilize a range of computer science skills, including operating systems, compiler theory, database management, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete mathematics, programming language theory, and data structures.
  • Engage in research and development, simulation/modeling, software design, and computational science.
  • Conduct reverse engineering and design/develop computer or information systems, including both hardware and software components.

Essential Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in computer science and/or systems research, including simulation/model development, software design, programming, and algorithm analysis.
  • Possession of an active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.
