Job Summary

We are seeking a Guest Service Representative to join our team at our Residence Inn hotel in Bridgewater, MA. As a Guest Service Representative, you will be the main point of contact for all guest requests and needs, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Handle Guest Requests: Respond to and resolve guest requests and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Main Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for all guest requests and needs, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Courteous Hospitality: Exhibit courteous and professional behavior at all times, ensuring a positive experience for our guests and associates.
  • Additional Services: Proactively offer additional services and inform guests of hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Payment Policies: Administer hotel guest payment policies, including handling transactions and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Positive Work Atmosphere: Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes teamwork and respect among guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Key Security: Maintain the hotel key security system and oversee safe deposit boxes for guests.
  • Financial Transactions: Verify credit cards and balance bank accounts at the end of each shift, and run and verify availability reports as needed.
  • Emergency Procedures: Know and follow the hotel's emergency procedures in the event of an actual emergency, and notify the appropriate supervisor immediately of any problems with rooms.
  • Check-In/Check-Out: Ensure that check-in and check-out processes are efficient and smooth, and that all necessary information is provided to guests.
  • Phone System: Have knowledge of the hotel phone system, including transferring calls to rooms and voicemail.
  • Mail Distribution: Promptly distribute and notify guests of mail and packages.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Language: Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Experience: Previous hotel-related experience is desired.
