Program Manager for Social Work Education Capacity Expansion

Job Summary

The University of the Pacific seeks a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the Social Work Education Capacity Expansion Grant. This position will be responsible for managing the grant's operations, administration, and budget processes, as well as developing and implementing strategies to recruit new students and form community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the grant's operations, including office management, budget administration, and project oversight
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit new students and form community partnerships
  • Assist the Program Director with grant-related tasks and provide support for departmental projects
  • Supervise administrative assistants and student workers
  • Work with Graduate Admissions, Registrar, and Graduate School to develop and manage pre-matriculant and matriculant activities for SW students
  • Develop, design, and manage systems for creating, tracking, storing, and retrieving student and alumni programmatic records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5) years of experience providing senior-level administrative and professional program support
  • Master's Degree in education preferred
  • Experience in managing and/or assisting with developing a new academic program
  • Experience conducting outreach with high-level external stakeholders
  • Experience analyzing data and developing program policy recommendations
  • Experience in supervising administrative assistants and student workers
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Banner, SharePoint, and HR systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism and high-level interpersonal skills
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone. Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
