Behavioral Health Director

Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Director to lead our mental health programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services management, with a focus on behavioral health services.
Job Summary:The Behavioral Health Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating mental health programs, as well as supervising staff and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a full-time position that requires a high degree of professional and administrative work.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and direct mental health programs, including outpatient and outreach services
- Supervise staff, including hiring, appraisals, and placements
- Conduct staff meetings and exit interviews
- Develop and implement staff development plans
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Represent the BH Program at meetings and maintain professional relationships with other agencies
- Master's degree in a related field, such as social work or psychology
- 5+ years of experience in behavioral health services, including supervisory experience
- Dual licensure as a LMHIP/LADC
- Valid driver's license and insurability
- Ability to work independently and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of federal, state, and private contracting processes
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and program records
- Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice, to accomplish program business
This is a full-time position that requires normal to light office work, including the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee will regularly be required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment.
The employee will also be required to read, write, calculate, and possess above-average social interaction skills. Reasoning and analysis skills are also essential, as well as the ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
The employee must be able to continually and effectively employ professional verbal and written communications skills, and possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
